Well, at last it seems as though there is going to be an under 18 youth league for clubs in the Central Warwickshire League, to progress players through to. This is an exciting development for football in general and for Chelmsley Town Youth (and me) in particular. The Central Warwicks will, I am sure, place high expectations on the teams who enter the League and it will be up to those clubs who enter teams in the early years to set the standard to be followed.
I am delighted to have been asked to manage the Chelmsley Town team and it took me just about a millisecond to accept! I will update this site with developments as I am made aware of them.

Things are progressing well on the team development front. In terms of the secretarial side - league application etc. I am sure that Derek will be progressing that.
I now have a squad to start the season, although I am not able to name them at this time for obvious reasons.

Well, last Wednesday (16th) saw us back in training for the first time this season.
It was good to see a healthy nucleus of lads from last season plus a number of lads interested in joining us for this coming season.
Holidays and work commitments kept a few lads away. We are looking healthy already for next season and I am looking to bring in a couple more players for the coming season.
Behind the scenes, I am delighted to announce a new sponsorship deal for this season's kit. KRS Fabrications will be sponsoring our kit for this coming season.
I will be looking to progress players through to the reserves (and first team) this year - a lot of them are already showing enough promise.
